Description
This manuscript is a copy of the “Sulāsiyyāt” of Imam al-Bukhari, a specialized collection within his hadith corpus.
The term “sulāsiyyāt” refers to hadiths with exceptionally short chains of transmission, containing only three narrators between the compiler and the Prophet Muhammad. In hadith scholarship, such chains are considered highly reliable.
This copy was produced in 1565, several centuries after al-Bukhari’s lifetime, demonstrating the enduring transmission and study of his works in Central Asia.
The manuscript is written in naskh script, the standard book hand of the Islamic world, known for its clarity and readability. Marginal annotations indicate that it was actively used in scholarly and educational contexts.
This compact codex reflects a living intellectual tradition in which texts were continuously studied, interpreted, and transmitted.
