Description

The Azkatsvar coin was minted in the 7th–8th centuries in ancient Khwarazm during the Afrigid dynasty. It played an important role in monetary circulation of the period. Made of copper or silver, the coin features the ruler’s portrait, inscriptions, and religious or state symbols. The Azkatsvar coin is a significant source reflecting Khwarazm’s political independence, economic life, and cultural identity.
