Description
This small ceramic toy figurine, dating back to the 10th–11th centuries, was discovered in the Termez region. Its delicate and precise form, the combination of simplicity and detail, testifies to the skill and taste of the craftsmen of that time. Such figurines were not only an object of entertainment, but also contributed to the social, aesthetic, and cultural development of children. Through playing them, children tried to understand the images of the adult world. Ceramic material made such items durable and long-lasting, ensuring their preservation in various environments. The shape and possible decorations of the figurine also embody the stylistic features characteristic of Termez crafts. This exhibit provides valuable information not only about the world of children, but also about medieval culture, lifestyle, and attitudes towards art.
