Description

This Greco-Bactrian coin dates back to the 3rd–2nd centuries BCE and serves as vivid evidence of the cultural, economic, and political connections between Central Asia and Greece. The Greek inscriptions, ruler portraits, and divine symbols on the coin illustrate the fusion of Hellenistic culture with local traditions, expressing both political authority and religious beliefs. Beyond its role as currency, the coin is a valuable historical source reflecting trade relations, monetary systems, and cultural integration. Through it, one gains deeper insight into the Greco-Bactrian civilization.
