This manuscript represents a copy of Al-Mufassal fi Ṣanʿat al-Iʿrab, one of the most influential works on Arabic grammar, written by the prominent twelfth-century scholar Abu al-Qasim al-Zamakhshari, a native of Khwarazm.
The treatise focuses on the structure of the Arabic language and the principles of grammatical analysis. Such works were essential for the proper interpretation of the Qur’an and for the study of Islamic religious sciences.
This particular manuscript was copied in 1343, demonstrating the long-lasting authority of the text within the scholarly tradition of the Islamic world.
