Description
The Chach coin was minted in the 7th–8th centuries in the Zarafshan Valley, particularly in the area of present-day Tashkent and its surroundings. It was issued by local rulers who governed the region. The coin features the ruler’s portrait, local inscriptions, and religious or state symbols. As an artifact, it provides valuable information about the monetary system, trade relations, and political authority of Chach in the 7th–8th centuries. It also serves as evidence of the region’s cultural synthesis and external trade connections.
