Description
This spout dates back to the 6th–8th centuries and reflects the practical craftsmanship and engineering thought of Sogdian culture. Designed to control the flow of liquid, spouts were often used in large ceramic vessels or ritual objects. In Sogd, water symbolized life and blessing, and water-related items held both religious and domestic significance. The shape and ornamentation of the spout demonstrate the technical and aesthetic mastery of local artisans. As an exhibit, it provides valuable insights into Sogdian daily life, ecological thinking, and applied art, while holding great importance for archaeological research.
