Description

This silver pendant dates back to the 1st–5th centuries and was discovered in the Fergana Valley. It is a refined example of the jewelry art and craftsmanship of that era. Pendants were the central ornament of women’s necklaces, valued as symbols of beauty, protection, and social status. Measuring 4 × 3 cm, the pendant’s polished surface and engraved decorations reflect the technical skill and artistic taste of local masters. Silver was regarded as a symbol of purity, blessing, and spiritual protection. As an exhibit, this pendant highlights Uzbekistan’s cultural heritage, offering valuable insights into the social life and beliefs of the time.
