Description
This figurine is one of the refined and deeply meaningful examples of Buddhist art, depicting a Bodhisattva – a divine being striving for enlightenment – in a posture of devotion upon a lotus flower. In Eastern philosophy, the lotus is revered as a symbol of purity, spiritual awakening, and inner elevation. The figurine has rings at the top for suspension and a pin at the bottom for fastening, indicating its use either in religious rituals or as a personal protective charm. Cast in bronze, this artifact reflects the technical mastery and artistic taste of the craftsmen of that era.
