Description

This petroglyph depicts a horse carved into stone and dates to the 6th–4th centuries BCE. Discovered in the Nurata region of Navoi Province, the monument reflects the artistic and intellectual world of ancient peoples. The image, engraved on a natural stone measuring 30×20 cm, clearly outlines the horse’s body. This petroglyph provides valuable insight into the attitudes of people of that era toward animals, as well as their daily life and religious beliefs. In ancient art, images of horses were often interpreted as symbols of courage, movement, and vital energy.
